There's a particular kind of travel print that does something different. Not a skyline. Not a map. Not necessarily landmark you've seen a hundred times. Perhaps a detail, a texture, a colour memory, the thing that stays with you long after you've left.
That's the idea behind our new collection of contemporary travel prints.
Over the past few weeks we've been working on a series of destination prints inspired by some of Africa's most extraordinary places and the results are some of our favourite work to date. Each print is photograph based, close up in style, and designed to evoke the sights, smells, and small details that capture a true sense of place.
Architecture, textiles, food, ceramics and landscapes
This collection isn't just about scenery. We've gone deeper into what makes each place feel like itself: the terracotta facade of Mali's BCEAO Tower rising against a deep blue West African sky; the earthy, hand etched clay pots of Ivory Coast's Katiola pottery tradition; the vivid beadwork of a Maasai ceremonial spear in Kenya; the peeling paintwork of a Senegalese fishing pirogue; the warm amber tones of Ghana's cocoa harvest spilling from a split cacao pod; and the misty drama of Uganda's Rwenzori Mountains.
